The suspicious deaths reported by the Smyrna Police Department on 2/6/23 are being investigated as an apparent murder-suicide incident. Officers who responded to the home for a check on the welfare located 2 deceased males in the upstairs living area. Both males died from gunshot wounds to their upper extremities. The suspected weapon used in this incident was recovered at the scene. The relationship between the victims is believed to be a father and son. Detectives continue to investigate a motive in this incident. The scene investigation has concluded and there is no current Police activity in the area. There is no threat to public safety.
