Pair Arrested for Package Thefts

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Smyrna PD patrol officers were dispatched to the unit block of S. Main Street in reference to a theft of packages from a residence.

Through investigation, SPD patrol officers identified the suspects as Angel Fish, 27, and Sean Cornwell, 34, both of Smyrna, DE. SPD then located the suspects shortly thereafter, and the stolen items were recovered.

At that time, it was learned that the suspects had taken an additional package from a second residence without the owners' knowledge. SPD returned all stolen packages to their rightful owners.

Both suspects were taken to SPD, where they were charged with the crimes listed below.

Both suspects were video arraigned in the JP#7 and committed to the Department of Corrections in lieu of $1,000.00 secured bail pending a future court hearing. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
