Smyrna Police are investigating a morning time shooting.



Smyrna Police detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting incident that occurred Friday morning. On Friday 4/28/23, SPD officers responded to a business located in the 200 block of First Avenue for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers determined that a 45-year-old adult male had been shot multiple times in his upper torso and extremities. He was transported by private vehicle to the Smyrna-Clayton Emergency Room. The victim has since been transferred to Kent General Hospital where he remains in serious condition. Currently, there are no suspects. The victim is cooperating with Police. There are no further details to release at this time and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
