*Update #2- Victim(s) identified**

Smyrna Police detectives have identified the deceased males located on 2/6/23 as Anthony Smith, 63 of Smyrna, and his teenage son. Preliminary investigation indicates that for unknown reasons Mr. Smith shot his son twice in the upper extremities with a handgun, before turning the weapon on himself and committing suicide. A motive for this incident remains under active investigation. No further identifying details will be released about the teenage victim in this case out of respect for his family members.
