Smyrna Police are investigating a shots-fired incident.

On September 20, 2025, at approximately 2:49 p.m., Smyrna PD responded to the area of the 500 block of Barley Court within the Sunnyside Development for a report of a vehicle collision with shots fired. Officers responded to the scene and confirmed no one was struck by gunfire; however, the incident left several unoccupied vehicles damaged as a result of the vehicle collision. The preliminary investigation revealed that two suspects approached the victim’s vehicle and brandished a firearm. One suspect entered the victim’s vehicle, causing the victim to flee while striking four additional unoccupied vehicles before coming to a stop. During the course of this incident, the suspect discharged one round inside the victim’s vehicle prior to fleeing.  

SPD is requesting assistance with any additional footage or observations of this incident or the alleged suspects involved. Anyone with information is asked to please contact Det.
