Smyrna Police are investigating a shots-fired incident.

On July 29, 2025, at approximately 09:19 p.m., Smyrna PD responded to the area of the Sunnyside Park for a report of shots fired. Officers responded to the scene and confirmed there were no reported injuries; however, it was determined that two homes in the area had been struck as a result of the gunfire. The preliminary investigation revealed that there was a birthday party taking place at the park when an unknown suspect(s) began discharging a firearm before fleeing.
