COMMUNITY POLICING
The Community Policing Unit is led by one full-time police officer. This officer splits their time between community policing duties and quality of life neighborhood enforcement issues. They meet with apartment managers, neighborhood watch groups, local businesses and other civic associations. They give educational seminars, host the Junior Police Academy, National Night Out and other local activities within the Smyrna Police Department.
